Afternoon sessions of Housie are to start next month. It is being called Social Housie to stress that it will be a little different from the Housie run on Friday evenings. The calling of numbers will be slower, and transparent chips will be used to cover numbers on the cards. That way, cards can be re-used and the afternoon can be a relaxing time for anyone who fancies an outing. While Grey Power will be running the sessions, everyone is most welcome to join in.
The idea is to have a fun afternoon rather than raise money. So all the money spent on cards will be paid out to winners after expenses have been deducted.
The first session is to start at 1.30pm on Wednesday 12th April in the St John’s Community Centre, 21 Exe Street.
