A section of Awamoa Road has been damaged due to a water leak and a subsequent temporary speed restriction of 30km/hr has been put in place.
The affected section of Awamoa Road is at Cambridge Place and people are being asked to take care around the area.
Network Operations Engineer Mark Renalson says the road will be repaired, however, the road needs to dry before a permanent repair can be made.
“The longer we can leave the area to dry out the less impact it will have on what type of repair is required, and with the weather cooling and winter approaching there is less chance a permanent repair can be made at this time.”
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused while the temporary speed limit is in place, however, we want to make sure the road dries out and the repairs we make are done at the optimum time.”
